This attaches to the front of the accessory thread of the 645 series lenses to provide optimum shading of the lens; this prevents flare from stray light. Rack and pinion adjustment allows a selection of optimal setting by actual preview and it incorporates a 32 gelatine filter holder. This is for use with lenses from 55 to 300mm, except 300mm f/2.8.

It is supplied with adapter rings for the 58mm and 67mm lenses. It can be used on other brand lenses with step down rings.
