Pro S back on SD revolving adapter

Mamiya UK Forum: General: Pro S back on SD revolving adapter

I have a Pro S body, with the Pro SD revolving adapter and both a Pro S regular back and a Pro S power motorised back. The problem is that unless i use the little film release button that presses down and slides left, that is mounted near the top, but on the back, of both of these Backs, the camera will not either let me wind on, or wind on automatically. After a picture is taken, the red mark in the film counter does not appear and so the back does not recognise that a picture has been taken. With the power back I can re-cock the camera and fire again and again - without using the multi-exposure lever. Obviously the whole point of a power back is to automatically advance the film once a shot has been taken so I thought the problem was with that Back, but having now fitted an ordinary one, the same fault that the back doesn't register the shot is evident.

Examing the body, there is a space between where the film counter pin in the revolving adapter sits and the hole in the actual back that it prods into when a shot is taken. It looks like this pin is not reaching where ever it has to go in the actual back. So, are SD revolving backs fully compatible with Pro S power backs?
