Thank you Jonathan
Are there any pointers on good books that one can refer to for practice?

Useful things to have on your flash:
Brolly Mounting, this helps you obviosuly get the most flattering lighting.
Modelling light, helps you check composition focus etc, and gives you a good idea what kinda colour your gonna get, if you have a choice, make sure you take along a polaroid back in the same speed and similar colour pickup as your main film, thats the best way to check for colour temperature, which is probably one of the more important things that lighting is responsible, other than that, composition is king.

Would like to hear from other users of Studio lights. I am interested in taking pictures of groups. Three sitting, Three standing. Set up and advantages of Elinchrom, Portaflash etc and what useful features one should look out for.
