Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use the Pro TL body for TTL flash photography (Metz system) without the lens in place?

I want to use it for dedicated exposures with a microscope, this would involve placing the body above the eyepiece projection lens.

I am using a Bronica ETRsi at the moment but a lens must be in place to complete the flash circuit.....
