Vignetting using G2 hood

Mamiya UK Forum: General: Vignetting using G2 hood

Richard,

This hood should not be used with the 50mm. lens - the "widest" lens it should be used with is the 90mm. The front of the casting, which usually has a white spot, should be aligned with the focal length indication on the rail.

I'm using the G2 lens hood with either my 127mm or my 50mm lens.

I've just had some pictures back from being processed and some of them show vignetting in the cornes which wasn't apparent at the time through the viewfinder.

The G2 hood has markings on of the rails for different lenses. What part of the 'body' of the lens hood do I lign up... the front or the back?

The front of the hood body by the clamp screw has a small white dot so I take it that it's this that I align?
