That is correct - the macro lens incorporates a floating element for optimum close-up work, but the 110mm. has a slightly better magnification ratio.

can anyone help, i am using 110mm lens at moment with no.1 or 2 extn. tubes. thinking of buying 140mm macro lens, but reading the close up tables on Mamiya UK pages it seems the 110 gives more magnification, is this correct and if so is the only advantage of the macro lens the flat field facility. I am shooting products and close ups of cosmetics any help much appreciated.
