Many thanks Graham for your advice, and for your excellent site on the C330. I guess experience with the equipement is what I need, so I better get shooting some film, thanks again.

The separation of the viewing and taking lenses is 50mm. So you only benefit from the paramender when 50mm is a significant proportion of the height of your subject. If you frame tightly, then a couple of metres might be your threshold. Most people would notice the framing difference without it inside a metre.

Hello everybody,
could anybody tell me if it is neccessary to use a paramender with a 55mm or 180mm lens, when the subject is approximately 4 Metres away. It doesn't appear to make much difference to me when viewing through the lens. Is it that the paramender is only concerned with close up shots? in which case what is classed as close-up,
thanks inadvance, JamieC.
